A  female northern lesser galago (Galago senegalensis) has just arrived from the Touroparc Zoo, joining our male. Very serene from the beginning, she was quickly put in contact with her congener.
the northern lesser galago is a small nocturnal and arboreal primate native to Africa, where it lives in tropical forests and savannahs. It feeds mainly on insects, fruit and gum. To catch insects, it can make impressive leaps of more than 5 meters!
Although this galago is not currently classified as a threatened species, deforestation and habitat loss are of great concern for its future.
